Born in Monroe, Rocky was the son of Vincent and Helen (Asher) Liparoto. Rocky was a kind and loving, outgoing, sensitive guy that knew no stranger. He cared about everyone. He was treasured and loved by all. Known as a free spirit and somewhat of a "daredevil" he was nicknamed Evel Knievel as a kid. Rocky enjoyed playing basketball with his daughters, hockey as well as riding four wheelers, but his favorite moments in life were those spent with his family. Rocky received his spiritual nourishment at the River Raisin Worship Center. Rocky leaves to cherish his memory his daughters: Autumn Sky Lashley of Monroe and Samara Liparoto of Monroe; siblings: Vincent (Phyllis) Liparoto Jr. of Mansfield, Ohio, Steve (Melody) Liparoto of Cibolo, Texas, Thomas Liparoto (and his fiancé Cynthia Koutris) of Monroe, Mary Hall of Mansfield, Ohio, Charles (Nakita) Liparoto of Nashville, Tennessee, David Liparoto of Jerome, Michigan, Cynthia (Don) Carsten of Toledo, Kenneth Ellison of Jacksonville, Florida, Jonathan (Joan) Ellison of Onsted, Michigan, Carolyn Abrams of Monroe and Amber Weiss of Monroe; as well as Dena Voukides of Monroe (with whom Rocky made his home) and several nieces and nephews. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Dorothy Kraehnke. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honor of Rocky are asked to consider the family, to assist with funeral expenses.
