Click on the tribute wall above to view Rocco's video tribute. Rocco Marti, 65, left us on Saturday, May 1, 2021, with many family and friends in his presence. He was born on August 16, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan to Paul and Irma (Tucci). He grew up in a large Italian family that focused on love, good food, and spending time with family. His young adult years were full of cruising around in sport cars, rock and roll music, parties at his house, and creating a family that he adored. Rocco will be remembered by his genuine, warm spirit; unmistakable laugh; and kind soul. He loved music and played the guitar, accordion, and piano. He was often found spending time with family; playing outside with his grandchildren; laughing at his own jokes; helping others in any way possible; and chatting with loved ones (preferably outside). He was loved by so many and will be immensely missed. Rocco is survived by his sisters, Nella and Teresa; daughters, Michelle (Mark) and Nina (Chris); son, Paul; wife, Anna Marie; and 9 grandchildren: Kelsie, Devin, Joseph, Adriana, William, Lyndsi, Lucia, Paisley, and Merrielle. A poem from his son, Paul: Taken by Covid his life came to an end Those who knew him, he was a best friend To his family a husband, Grandpa, and Dad A person so kind and loving, the best we had Times spent with him looked at as a treasure Memories so many, filled with much pleasure Now gone, but never forgotten, God said it was his time to go Why he was chosen now, we will never know Up in the sky with his family and friends Knowing in my heart we will meet again To those attending visitation and/or services at the funeral home for a loved one, in keeping with CDC and State of Michigan DHHS guidelines, masks and social distancing along with limitations on number of person(s) in the chapel must be followed and will be enforced. Thank you for understanding.
