Robert was born on October 16, 1948 in Wyandotte, Michigan and died on March 18, 2019 at Beaumont Hospital Dearborn at the age of 70; he was of Allen Park. Beloved husband of 47 years to Nancy. Loving father of Christopher (Najet), Jeffrey (Kelly) and Michael (Kelly). Proud grandfather of Sophia and of a baby girl on the way. Dearest brother of Thomas (Debbie) and brother-in-law to Jeanette Zwak and Richard (Janice) Rolando. Also survived by his nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Nellie (nee: Corbell) Draper. He will be missed by his grand dogs and grand cats. Robert was a former Police Officer with the City of Allen Park and was a retiree of the Allen Park Public School System. Visitation is on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 12 – 8 pm with a Prayer Service and Sharing of Memories Sunday at 6 pm and visitation will also be on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 5 – 8 pm all at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). Robert will lie in state on Tuesday at 9:30 am at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1540 Riverbank, Lincoln Park until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 10 am.
