Robert Rudolph Lange age 94, of Henry Ford Village, Dearborn, Michigan, and formerly of Trenton and Allen Park, passed peacefully on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. He was predeceased by his loving wife Emely after 67 years of marriage. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Catherine Reese and Rudolph Lange on October 25, 1926. He was also predeceased by his sister, Marion Williamson, and brother, William Lange. After growing up in Toledo, he served in the Navy in 1944 aboard a destroyer escort. He then received a degree in Electrical Engineering from Toledo University and worked at Autolite out of college. The family moved to Michigan as Bob began his career at Ford Motor Company in 1955. This career took them to Mexico City in the 1960’s where they lived and explored the country for five years. His passions were his family and boating at Ford Yacht Club, where he was Commodore in 1987. They also enjoyed winters in La Quinta California for 14 years. He is survived by his son David (Lynn) and their children Grace, Ellyn, Joseph, as well as David’s daughter Anastasia (Stacey) and her mother Ginger Lange. Also survived by daughter Janet (Lloyd) Jones, Pen Jones, Paget Taylor (Jake) and their son Everett, and Philip (Callie) and their children Oakley, Brecken, and Teagan. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon following at St. James Episcopal Church, 25150 East River, Grosse Ile, Michigan 48138. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting donations to St. James Episcopal Church.
