Robert J. Walker

Robert was born on January 23, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan and died on October 5, 2016 at the John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center at the age of 81; he was of Dearborn Heights. Beloved husband of the late Helen. Loving father of Douglas, Russell and Deanna (Christopher) Frazier. Proud grandpa of Rachel and Luke. Preceded in death by parents Frank and Margaret (nee: Bearns) and one brother Les. Robert proudly served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Visitation is Monday, October 10, 2016 from 2:30 – 8 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard), Allen Park. The funeral service is Monday, October 10, 2016 at 7 pm; Rev. Dr. Geoffrey Drutchas will officiate and the Downriver Veterans Honor Guard and the Mason's will participate. Robert will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:30 and everyone is invited to attend the committal service. Memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses.
