Robert B. Montie

Born in Ecorse, Robert was the son of Bernard & Marguerite Montie (Malenfant). A veteran of the United States Army, he married the love of life, Nancy Krach on January 7, 1956. Robert was an Electrician with Detroit Edison for over 30 years before retiring in 1995. Robert leaves to cherish his memory, Nancy, his wife of the past 57 years; four children: Malorie Crawford, Robert (Kathleen) Montie, Terry (Carol) Montie and Monica Montie (David Kozin); 14 siblings: Gerry (Maria) Montie, George (Jean) Montie, Allen (Pauline) Montie, Bill (Beverly) Montie, Michael Montie, Leo (Ann) Montie, Chuck (Debbie) Montie, Lucy (Ralph) Sulek, Bernadette Costello, Ruth Ficek, Helen Flinders, Rose Montie, Mary Montie and Louise Buck; as well as 5 grandchildren Nathan (Allie) Smith, Kelly Smith, Jennifer Montie, Jessica Montie, Justin Whitney, and 3 great grandchildren Ezra, Evan & Ewyn: In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by 2 brothers: John (Noreen) Montie and Edward (Paulette) Montie.
