Robert Allen Richardson

Robert Allen Richardson, age 72 of Newport, passed away January 17, 2023 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.

Born January 23, 1950 in Pineville, Kentucky, Robert was the son of Robert and Della (Niekirk) Richardson. A graduate of Jefferson High School, Robert faithfully served our country in the United States Army.  He married Sharon Franzen on April 22, 1978. Robert worked as an Electrician for Monsanto for over 35 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping and fishing but his most treasured times were those spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory, Sharon, his wife of the past 44 years; his children: Brian (Jessica) Richardson and Jenna (Michael) Wheeler; five grandchildren: Braedan Ruetz, Landon Wheeler, Logan Wheeler, Alahna Richardson and Makena Richardson; as well as five siblings: Brenda (Michael) McLaughlin, Dennis (Beverly) Richardson, Marla Richardson, Jeleda Richardson and Scott (Carol) Richardson. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents.
