Rob Maxson

Click on the tribute wall above to view Rob's video tribute. Rob was born on February 1, 1968 in Dearborn, Michigan and died at his home in Lincoln Park on March 30, 2019 at the age of 51. In 2001 he married his wife Elana. Rob is survived by his wife, his brother Rick Maxson and his nephew George Hammond, II as well as other loving family and friends. He will be missed by his fur babies Olive and Blue. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Shirley (nee: Peek) Maxson. Rob was a very sweet and stubborn man and was the owner of Rob’s Shoe Repair in Dearborn Heights. He was an avid reader who enjoyed sci-fi fantasy novels and participating in traditional archery; he was also a member of Scarlet Company. Visitation is on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 3 – 8 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). A service to celebrate Rob’s life is on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 12 pm at the funeral home. His family has requested that causal attire be worn, as Rob was a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy. There will be a luncheon held following the service at Park Restaurant, located at 1681 Fort St., Lincoln Park, MI 48146, beginning at 3:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Make A Difference Rescue or as the donor chooses.
