Richard W. Mr. Hickman

Mr. Hickman died Friday afternoon, in Southgate, Mi, after losing a short battle with cancer. He was born March 25, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Robert L. and Irma M. Hickman. Mr. Hickman retired from Ford Motor Company with 42 years of service. He enjoyed frequent trips up north with his sons and wife and as a younger man enjoyed playing baseball and was a member of a number of baseball leagues. His grandchildren were a never ending source of comfort and pride for him. Survivors include his loving wife and best friend of 20 years; Penny (Smithers) Hickman; sons, Richard (Brenda) Hickman of Garden City, Mark (Michelle) Hickman of Garden City, Robert (Laura) Hickman of Dearborn Hts; daughters, Tracy (Paul) Landers of Norfolk, VA, Heather (Chris) Hickman of Roseville, Jessica (Avery) Smithers of Detroit; grandchildren, Jimmy, Janine, Matthew, Kenny, Ashley, Warren “Mac”, Caleb, Chloe, Paul, Jr. , Eric, Cody, Aiden; great-grandchild, Blake; ; brothers, Leonard Hickman and Roger Hickman; sisters, Mary Hickman and Joanne Hickman and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hickman was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty and Evelyn and his brother Bob.
