Born in Newton Falls, Ohio, Richard was the son of H. Glenn and Dorothy (Staneart) Pearch. A graduate of Monroe High School, he faithfully served his country in the United States Army as a Sergeant and Military Police officer guarding the Emperor's Palace in Tokyo during the post war occupation of Japan. After being honorably discharged Richard worked at Ilgenfritz Nursery, Consolidated Paper and then for over 20 years with Ford Motor Company, Monroe. He was a member of the VFW Post 1138 and St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Richard enjoyed gardening, woodworking and history. Richard is survived by his children: Kathleen Pearch of Monroe, James (Pam) Pearch of Hamilton, Michigan, Kimberly Pearch of Monroe and John Pearch of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; two grandchildren: Melissa (Eric) Brasher of Ida and Brian (Rachel) Pearch of Temperance; as well as a sister Bonnie (Jim) Neidhart of Dayton, Ohio; a brother-in-law Ronald Schuster of South Rockwood and several nieces and nephews. Sadly he was preceded in death by a twin daughter Kay Louise Pearch; his parents and three siblings: Robert Pearch, Gerald Pearch and Carole Schuster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, VFW Post 1138 or St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
