Richard "Dick" J. Machczynski

Richard “Dick” J. Machczynski of Brownstown Twp., Michigan passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the age of 87 in his home while surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 62 years to Connie Machczynski. Cherished father of Richard Machczynski, Jr. (Lydia), Suzanne Machczynski, Linda (Stephen) Bastow, and Phill (Melissa) Machczynski. Loving grandfather of Rebecca (Gareth) Schuld, Daniel Machczynski, David (Sydney) Bastow, Benjamin Machczynski, Nathan Machczynski, Victoria Elizondo, and James Machczynski. Dearest great-grandfather of Erin, Elliana, Kallen, Kaiya, and Zoe. Caring brother of Luci (the late Jim) Kent, and Cecilia (Jim) Green and brother-in-law of Nancy Machczynski. Dick was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lottie Machczynski and his brother Thomas Machczynski. He will be deeply missed by many loving family and friends.

Visitation for Dick will take place on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183. The Knights of Columbus will be holding a rosary that same evening at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will take place the following day, Monday, December 18, 2023 at Our Lady of the Wood Catholic Church located at 21892 Gudith Road, Woodhaven, 48183. In State 10:00 AM and Mass at 10:30 AM. There will be a procession to St. Hedwig Catholic Cemetery in Dearborn Heights for military honors, followed by a committal service with interment.
