Richard “Dennis” Boddy, of Wayne, Michigan, passed away June 6, 2022. Beloved son of Rose Boddy and the late Richard. Cherished brother of Deborah (Dr. Pasquale) Papalia, and Kimberly Staniszewski. Proud uncle of Hillary Rose Staniszewski, Brandon Michael Meyers, Haley Ellen (Matt) Salisbury, Dominic Michael Papalia and Dantè Emanuel Papalia. Dearest great uncle of Grayson Joseph Salisbury. Richard is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, caregivers, camp buddies and camp counselors. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret and Manuel Spiteri and R.D. and Mildred Boddy. Richard absolutely loved going to Indian Trails Camp whenever he could. He passed away at his favorite place in the entire world, and was able to spend his last days at the place he loved the most. He had a love for music, including Motown and Christian music. He was a loyal fan to the Detroit Red Wings hockey and watched every game. He cherished every holiday, because it meant he was able to spend time with his family. Richard was very faithful and treasured going to any church that he could. He valued his trips to Denny’s where he would drink the incredible coffee. Richard adored being outdoors, he didn’t care what he was doing, just going for car rides made him happy. His latest craving was strawberry ice cream, and he could not get enough of it! The memorial service will be recorded and it will be posted to his tribute after the service, please check back. Memorial gathering will be held at The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, Trenton Chapel on Saturday June 18, 2022 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm.
