Richard Beaubien age 64 of Trenton passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 26,2020. The oldest of four siblings, he was born in Wyandotte on February 10,1956 to Edmund and Emalie Beaubien. Richard worked many years as manager for Keck Hardware, learning the ins and outs of the business becoming a trusted, knowledgeable source for the regular customers who would come calling on him for help with their projects. He later worked for Starfish Family Services as a maintenance supervisor before retiring. We would tease him that there wasn't anything he couldn't fix (as long as he had a tube of caulk, a roll of duct tape and a can of WD-40..lol). Although he hated the cold weather, he always enjoyed his yearly deer hunting trips with his dad and brothers. Summer was his favorite, the hotter the better, he loved taking his Yamaha V- Star motorcycle out and just cruising and then ending the day with a cold beer and a bonfire. He was a kind soul always with a smile and a good word, he rarely ever got mad. Always ready to help wherever or whenever he was needed. He was always very positive with a "glass half full" kind of guy. Even when his health declined, he never asked "why me". He would over and over just say I've lived a great life and I'll die with a smile on my face". He loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. Nothing made him happier than his family, he was always there to support and cheer his daughters and grandchildren on in everything they participated in and did. Richard was a devoted and adoring husband to Mary for 43 years. Beloved Dad to Heather (Ken) Massingill, Jennifer (Jerry) Brooks. Proud and awesome Papa of Andrew and Allison Massingill and Eleanor and Beau Brooks. He also cherished Buddy, his Golden Retriever. Dear Brother to Mike (Jeanette)Beaubien, Jeanette (Dave) Holland and Joe (Kristi) Beaubien. Dearest son in law to Elizabeth Pritchett. Brother in law to Nancy (David) Cotter, Karen (Glenn) Bibee, Mike Pritchett, Sharon Dean. He is also survived by his uncle and Godfather, Sam (Helen) Giordano, his aunt and Godmother Isabella Bush, his aunt Mamie (Bob) Bone as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents Edmund and Emalie Beaubien, father in law Keith Pritchett and brother in law Al Pritchett. Family meant everything to him. He was truly loved and will be missed by all. Per family wishes no flowers please. However, to honor Richards life, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children or Michigan Humane Society. Services will be private.
