Richard A. Hartman

Richard was born on January 14, 1932 in Reading, Pennsylvania and died on November 18, 2016 at. St. Joseph Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania; he was 84 years old. Beloved husband of 59 years to Rose Marie (nee: Withers). Loving dad of Thomas, the late David and his wife Mary, Michael (Donna), Maribeth (Ted) Gardella and Annemarie (Rick) Ampezzan. Proud poppa to 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also survived by his niece Elizabeth (Robert) Houlihan as well as other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Mary (nee: Snyder) Hartman and one sister Mary Reinert. Richard proudly served his Country in the United States Army; he retired as a teacher from the Trenton High School. Family was Richard's love in life and he was an exceptional wood carver who loved to travel. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 2 – 9 pm with a service including military honors on Wednesday at 7 pm all at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd.
