Remi A. Vansteenkiste

VanSteenkiste, Remi A. Age 91 and formerly of Allen Park. Remi was born June 30, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Hector and Leona (nee: DePugyt) VanSteenkiste. Beloved husband to the late Dorothy. Beloved brother of the late Maurice VanSteenkiste. Loving dad of Laura Novak and Robert VanSteenkiste. Also survived by his grandchildren as well as other family and friends. Remi proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Force as a B-17 pilot during WW II, he was a member of the Henry Ford Trade School and retired from Ford Motor Company where he served as a heavy duty truck engineer. Remi was also an avid golfer. Visitation will be Thursday 11 am until the time of the funeral service at12 pm both at The Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, Detroit.
