Rebecca Moore

Moore, Rebecca; age 83 of Allen Park and formerly of Cawood, KY went home to rejoice with her Heavenly Father on March 7, 2016. There she joins her grandson Joshua Bonikowski, siblings Odell and Mildred Sergent and parents James Carter and Roxie (Pace) Sergent. Grieving her loss is her loving husband of 65 years, Alvin Moore. Also mourning her passing are her children and their spouses Patricia (Donald) Metzler, James Odell Moore, Doris (James) Dodd, Kenneth (Elizabeth) Moore and Gerald (Rhonda) Moore. Almost like daughters are Jeanetta Miller, Denise Varitek and Cody Ragle. Her most treasured gifts and greatest joy were her grandchildren, of whom she leaves Byron Bonikowski; Austin, Carly, Andrew, Brett and Katherine Moore; Gayle and Joseph Dodd; Harrison Metzler; Christy (Paul) Dingess. She loved each of them dearly and wanted to be their greatest cheerleader. Rebecca was a great student and teacher of the Bible. She recognized God's commandment to love your neighbor, and fought to live because God wanted her to use every last breath loving people. This started with her dear church family, as her extended family and dearest friends, and extended to everyone she met. She tried to encourage her friends with her famous hugs and reminded everyone of the good in themselves. In her memory she would want you to be kind to everyone you meet, and look for the good in people, knowing we are all created in His image. Memorial contributions may be to Samaritan's Purse. Interment will be at Fields Cemetery in Cawood, KY.
