Roudi, Ralph C., age 87, November 25, 2008 of Grosse Ile, formerly of Flat Rock. Beloved husband of Ann. Loving father of Dennis (Pam) Roudi. Also survived by his grandchildren Evan and Katie, his brother Donald (Corrine) Roudi and his niece Marcia Taub. Mr. Roudi was born in Connecticut and attended Ithaca College in New York receiving his degree in music. He received his Masters Degree in Administration from the University of Michigan. Ralph served his country during WWII in the 101st Airborne Division as a member of the Army band. He was called to front line service during the Battle of The Bulge and was awarded the Bronze Star. After the war, he began his career as a teacher teaching music and band in Fowlerville, MI, later teaching music and band in Flat Rock, MI. After receiving his administration degree, he served as Supt. of schools for the Carson School district, the Riverview school district as Asst. Superintendant, and Southgate schools as Asst. Supt. Mr. Roudi retired in 1981. He moved his family to Grosse Ile in 1969. He loved opera, classical music and his favorite instrument was the clarinet. He also loved boating, fishing, gardening and was a terrific cook.
