Ralph 'Brownie' Brown

Ralph Oswald Brown (Brownie) born November 29, 1927, died January 7, 2018. Ralph (Brownie) grew up on a farm in Trenton, Michigan. He joined the Army, after his junior year of high school, in February 1946. He served in Italy, as a truck driver, and was discharged in September 1947. He returned to Trenton and finished High School and graduated in June of 1948. After School he drove interstate trucks and worked for Michigan Foundation Co. hauling cement. He joined the Gibraltar Police Dept. in 1957. He married Opal Beauman in 1960 and went to work for the Gibraltar school district in 1963. He retired in 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ella Brown, siblings Ercel, Jerry, Ione, Jenny, Bill, his wife Opal and grandson Patrick Beauman and granddaughter Marie Beauman. He is survived by stepsons Gerald (Delores), Randolph (Sally), Arthur (Donna) and son Roger (Dawn), and grandchildren Won Noelle (Brian), Rick, Traci, Jodi, Jennifer, Shannon, Brandon and Luke. Visitation will be at the Martenson's Funeral Home, 3200 West Rd, Trenton, Michigan on January 15, 2018 from 10 am to noon with a service conducted by Reverend Fred Jolicoeur at noon.
