Ralph Anthony Eckert

September 15, 1949 — February 5, 2021

Ralph Anthony Eckert

Born in Detroit, Ralph was the son of Elwood and Alice (Klockenbrink) Eckert. He faithfully served our country in the United States Army in Vietnam. Ralph married the love of his life, Barbara Carney, on September 10, 1977. Ralph worked as a Funeral Assistant at the Ford Chapel Funeral Home for over 30 years, retiring in 2016. He had been a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Rockwood, life member and past Commander of the VFW Post 4230-Rock of Gibraltar and past President of the Rockwood Rotary Club. He also enjoyed camping, but his most treasured times were those spent with his family. Ralph leaves to cherish his memory, Barb, his wife of the past 43 years; his son Anthony Charles Eckert II; a grandson Anthony Charles Eckert III; as well as his siblings: Elaine (Roy) Fisher, Margie (Raymond) Pac, Edie (Doug) Schneider, Jeannie (Donnie) Beckowitz and Paulette (Don) Banaszak. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Anthony Charles Eckert.
