Prentice G. Williams, Jr.

Born in Monroe, Prentice was the son of Prentice and Lena (Alvis) Williams. A 1954 graduate of Trenton High School, he married the love of his life, Shirley Aben, on November 5, 1955. Prentice worked for Michigan Bell for over 41 years, retiring in 1996. He then worked for Manheim Auto Auction for over 17 years. Prentice was member of the Flat Rock Elks, he collected sports memorabilia, and enjoyed working on electronics, but his most cherished times were those spent with his family. Prentice leaves to cherish his memory, Shirley, his wife of the past 62 years; his children: Steven (Christine) Williams of Sarasota, Florida, Kirk Williams of Brownstown, Michael Williams of Brownstown and Jeffrey (Gina) Williams of Rockwood; five grandchildren: Gino Palermo, Melissa Williams, Sydney Williams, Adam Williams and Samantha (Brian) Lobocki; as well as brother Larry (Carol) Williams of Southgate. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Anthony Williams; a daughter Marci Williams; a brother Robert Williams and a sister Margaret Flenniken. Memorial contributions in honor of Prentice may be made to the American Cancer Society.
