Ponzell "Ponnie" Stewart

Ponnie was born on July 23, 1941 in Pikeville, KY and went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2019 at the age of 78; she was of Taylor. Beloved wife of the late Ralph. Loving mother of Deborah (Greg) Gitter and Donna (Carl) Williams. Loving memaw of Ryan (Alli) Williams, Drew (Ashley) Williams, Amber (Josh) Griffith and Abbie Gitter and great grandma of Kaiden Tysick, Norah Williams, Kendall Williams, Cash Williams, Harper Williams, Rock Williams, Eli Griffith, Margo Williams and Isaiah Griffith. Dearest sister of Ovetta (Dale) Adkins, Hasel (Judy) Adkins, Rosemary (Jerry) Willett, Lois (S. Royce) Dickey. Dearest sister-in-law of Ruth Glodfelty. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Elisha and Rosy (nee: Arnold) Adkins. Visitation is on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 4 – 8 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd (Corner of Goddard). The funeral service is on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2 pm at the funeral home; Pastor Gregory O. Gitter will officiate. A private committal service will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses.
