Pauline Gooch

A beautiful soul left this earth on November 4th 2024. Pauline (Roberts) Gooch went to be with the Lord she loved while sleeping comfortably in her bed. Pauline was 93 years old having seen her eight sons and daughters grow up, having children, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along the way. She survived the passing of her husband, Maurice (Morris) as well as a son and daughter, all of her siblings and parents. Born in Welsh West Virginia to a coal mining family, she left home with her sister eventually moving to Monroe Michigan in the late 40’s. After meeting and marrying the love of her life, Morris, together they lived all over the country and Germany due to his military career and “wander foot” even after he received his discharge from the U.S. Army. She is survived by her children Morris Gooch (Amy), William Gooch (Robin), Diana Pfaff, Allan Gooch (Mary), Debora Combs (Paul) and Darlene Gooch. Donna Cornell (Keith) and Keith Gooch (June) preceded her in death. She was blessed to have grandchildren, great grandchildren and even great-great grandchildren too numerous to name but so dearly and mutually loved.

Pauline was an active member and former officer of the Moose Lodge 884 as well as the VFW Post 1138 of Monroe. She was also a very active crafter, blessing her family and friends with her skills in designing flower arrangements, albums and cards for weddings, birthdays and holidays. She was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and often stated she could not wait to go home and be with Him, she got her wish.
