Patrick Kolongowski

Patrick was born in Detroit on May 2, 1952 and died on May 1, 2019 in Monroe at the age of 66; he was the son of Louis and Irene (Kandow) Kolongowski. Patrick was a graduate of Chadsey High School in Detroit; he obtained an industrial degree and was certified in truck repair. Patrick worked at General Motors for 39 years and retired in 2014. On May 19, 1984 he married Virginia Dziewit and together they made their home in Frenchtown Twp. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. Patrick loved his family and enjoyed fishing. Beloved husband of Virginia. Loving father of Marisa (Joel) Oerther of Monroe and the late Jonathan Kolongowski. Dearest brother of James (Tina) Kolongowski of Detroit. Also survived by other loving family and friends. In addition to his son he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Kolongowski and his sister Cheryl Kolongowski. Visitation is on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 3 – 9 pm with a service on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 6 pm both at The Allore Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm Ave in Monroe. Memorial contributions to honor Patrick’s life may be made to the family.
