Patricia L. Lewis

Born October 2, 1948, Patti was the daughter of Morley and Ruth Riggs of South Rockwood, and was a 1966 graduate of Airport High School. She earned a B.A. in Education at Michigan State University in 1970, followed by an M.A. in Education from Wayne State University in 1974. She married her college sweetheart Stephen F. Lewis of Lansing in 1971, and they were married for 44 happy years. Patti was employed as an elementary teacher with Wyandotte Public Schools for 30 years, retiring in 2000. Since 2002, Patti and her husband have also been maintaining a winter home in Clermont, Florida. She was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church in Monroe and was also a member of Woodlands Lutheran Church in Montverde, Florida during the winter months. Throughout her life, she has enjoyed travelling all over the world, was an avid reader, and was a devoted follower of her children's and grandchildren's activities. She was a lover of animals, adopting 11 different cats during her lifetime. Patti was a fan of all things Disney, and helped create many happy memories for herself and her family at the Disney Parks and on Disney Cruises. She is survived by her husband Steve; two children, Patrick (JoAnna) Lewis of South Rockwood, and Penny (Brandon) Rozinsky of Windermere, Florida; one grandson, Ryan Lewis (10); and three granddaughters, Reagan Lewis (8), Sydney Rozinsky (2-1/2), and Harper Rozinsky (9 months).
