Patricia Ann Griffis went home to be with the lord at the age of 78 at her home in Taylor, Michigan on August 15, 2018 with her son Carl at her side. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Stella Schultz born on Dec 20, 1939. Patricia fell in love and then married her soulmate of 53 years Marvin J. Griffis on September 28, 1957 who proceeded her in death (2010) In addition to her husband and parents she was proceeded in death by her son John A. Griffis 2007, (Daughter n law), Janie l. Griffis 2008, (Granddaughter), Christina M. Terrell 2013 and 4 siblings as follows Edward Schultz (brother), Jerry Schultz (brother) Alice Grabowski (sister), Richard Schultz (brother). Patricia was a resident of Taylor Michigan for 52 years. She worked at Frito Lay for 30 years of which she was most proud of being a painter. Her retirement did not end there, she went on back to work as a lunch lady for the Taylor public school system for a number of years. Patricia leaves to cherish her memories her children Leonard (Jessica), Susan (Rushlow, Alvin), and Carl Griffis. Grand children Alvin jr., Allen, Anthony, Meaghan and David as well as 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sibling Delphine Herndon. Patricia was a devout Christian. She believed in the power of prayer. She always studied her bible in search of truth and knowledge. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Some of Pats hobbies and pastimes were enjoying a weekend of flea market fun. Traveling with other vendors and friends. She loved bingo, playing cards, bowling, gardening, cooking all sports and an evening at the casino. Pat loved dancing the Polka every chance she got and going to local festivals. Pat had a zest for life and was selfless. She tried to stay positive even though she faced hardships and she brought a spark into any room she entered. Patricia dedicated her life to her family above all else she loved togetherness. Visitation is on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 12 pm to 8 pm with the Funeral Service on Wednesday at 6 pm all at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. Everyone is invited to meet on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 2 pm at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery at 2 pm for the committal service. We will all gather inside the main gates at the cemetery and will proceed to the chapel together for the committal. Memorial contributions to honor Patricia Ann's life may be made to the family.
