Pat Richards

Born in Ecorse, Pat was the son of George and Makalena (Stolarcek) Richards. A 1960 graduate of Ecorse High School, Pat went on to faithfully serve our country with the United States Army from 1963 until 1969. He married the love of his life, Janet Smith, on September 19, 1964. Pat worked as a Construction Foreman most of his career, doing underground construction through the Laborers Union, Local 1191. A dedicated husband and family man, Pat enjoyed hunting, collecting guns, model trains and "Hot Rod" cars. Pat leaves to cherish his memory, Janet, his wife of the past 54 years; his children: Patrick Richards, Gregory Richards, Holly (Mike) Galczyk and Mark (Erica) Richards; four grandchildren: Luke Richards (Tierney), Brooke Richards, Mason Richards and Christy Durbin; as well as two great grandchildren: Cayley Nelson, and Savanna Simpson; a brother David (Milanne) Richards and a sister-in-law Helen Richards. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Richards. Memorial contributions may be made to the NRA Foundation, 11250 Waples Mill Rd., Fairfax, Virginia 22030.
