Orville Wright Risner

Orville was born on February 13, 1937 in Hindman, Kentucky and died at his home in Rockwood on November 24, 2016; he was 79 years old. Beloved husband of 61 years to Edna (nee: Owens). Loving dad of Eugene (Terri) Risner of St. Peters, Missouri, Michael (Linda) Risner of Flat Rock, Michigan and the late Sharon Risner. Cherished grandpa of Matthew (Nicole) Blackwell, Adam (Monica) Risner, Joel Risner, Karis Risner and Kris Risner and great grandpa of Braxton Blackell, Jack Risner and Ben Risner. Also survived by one brother Phil (Norma) Risner, one sister Maxine (Jim) Slone as well as other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Higgins and Omarie (nee: Davidson) Risner, two brothers Hilbert Risner and Edward Messer and one sister Marlene Short. Orville was retired from General Motors; his love in life was his family and he also loved everything about cars and attending car shows. There are no services in Michigan. There will be a visitation at the Martin Wilson Funeral Home in LaFollette, Tennessee and burial will take place at the Ausmus Cemetery in Steedwell, Tennessee. Memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses.
