Nina Worley

Nina Worley, age 89 of Southgate, MI formerly of Marshall, North Carolina passed away June 23, 2024. Born March 17, 1935 to the late Doyle and Lela Worley. Loving wife of the late Cecil Worley for 71 wonderful years. Cherished mom of Sharon (David) Henry, Beverly (Bill) Smith and Cecilia (Bill) Perkins. Proud grandma of Matthew (Geneva) Henry, Jonathan (Amanda) Henry, Riley (Katelyn) Perkins, Siera (Tim) Duiser, Jordan (Jessica) Perkins and great grandma to 11 great grandchildren.

She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. Nina and her husband Cecil were faithful members of Trenton Missionary Baptist church. Nina worked at Melvindale and Northern Allen Park Schools as a teaching assistant for over 20 years before retiring.

Visitation will take place at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  Nina will lie in state on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Trenton Missionary Baptist Church from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am.  Entombment will be at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Nina may be made to The Gideons International and/or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
