Nichole Sautter

Nichole Sautter of Trenton, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the age of 52, after a brief, but strenuous battle with pancreatic cancer. Cherished wife of 27 years to Scott Sautter. Beloved mother of Hannah Faye and Logan Sautter. Dearest sister of Sherry (Mark), the late Shawn, Deborah, Johnnie, James, and Anthony. Loving aunt of Joe (Amy), Paul, Angel (Keoni), Collin, and many other nieces and nephews. Caring daughter-in-law of Bert and Karen Sautter. Adoring dog-mom to Luna. Nichole was preceded in death by her parents John and Faye Compton and her brother-in-law Jim Attard.

Nichole was vivacious and her sense of humor was unparalleled. She had a way of making everyone around her feel loved and embraced. She dedicated her life to her husband, children, family, and her patients as a nurse at Corewell Health in Trenton. She had a tenacity for life and was so selfless and strong. As a nurse, she treated each and every one of her patients as “the only one” and gave phenomenal care. She was adored by her many colleagues and IMC family, who rallied for her endlessly with great love and fundraising efforts.

Nichole was an avid gardener and home interior decorator. Her backyard was her oasis and you could often find her floating in the pool by day, and by night lounging by her fire or in her hot tub. She was an amazing cook, baker and could often be found feeding those she loved. Nichole had a love for the outdoors, especially the U.P. and Lake Superior, where she could often be found hunting agates on the beautiful shores.

Her loss is a tremendous one for all who knew her. She will be forever loved and remembered.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183. The memorial service will begin that same evening, starting at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Nurse’s Honor Guard, following prayers officiated by Bob Parker and then family sharing time.
