Nancy L. Worlen was born on March 23, 1947, in Trenton and peacefully passed away at home on May 27, 2023 after a brief illness. She initially worked as a school bus driver for disabled children. Nancy retired from the News Herald where she was an Ad Builder. After her retirement she enjoyed travelling the United States in her yellow, decked-out, Volkswagen Bug, visiting friends and family along the way. She enjoyed reading, reading, and more reading, as well as spending time on FaceBook. Nancy also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Nancy is survived by her children Angela Worlen and Karen Irwin, Karen's children and grandchildren, and grandson Connor McCarthy. She survived by her sister Patricia (Ern) Prill, niece Lora (Mike) Currie (Prill), great-nephew Christian Currie and great-niece Kate Currie. She is also survived by her brother Thomas (Jeanine) Reaume, niece Kristine (Mike) Sharp (Reaume), great-nephew Tommy, and nephew David Reaume. Nancy is also survived by her close friends and neighbors, Dan and Laura Mayotte and their children and grandchildren, as well as her neighbor Jeff and his son.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Leonard Worlen, parents Margery and David Reaume, and beloved son Eric Worlen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1st, 2023, and Friday, June 2nd, 2023, from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Ridge Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Ridge Chapel. Following the service on Saturday, we will be driving in procession to Michigan Memorial Park to say a few words at the chapel. The entombment will be witnessed by the immediate family only.
