Ms Mary D. Batyik-Siders

Mary D. Batyik-Siders, age 63, of Maybee, MI., passed away Tuesday July 3, 2012 at Mercy Memorial Hospital Monroe. Mary was born March 8, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to Mike and Mary (Horvath) Batyik. She graduated from St Mary's Academy in 1967, she then graduated from Spring Arbor University with dual Bachelor Degrees in Business and Health Care Administration. Mary was in the broadcasting business for over 15 years, she also worked in Administration at Foote Hospital for many years, she accomplished all this and took care of her home and raised 6 wonderful children. Mary was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church Maybee, where she volunteered funeral luncheons, the church festivals and Maybee Days. Mary loved her family above all things. One word that would describe her is Giver. She was and did give until her last breath, Mary's greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. Her philosophy was "Only a life lived for others is worth living". Left to cherish her memory are children, Dennis (Mindy) Zeemer of Las Vegas, NV., Edward (Jaime) Siders of Springport, MI., Eric (Chrissy) Siders of Parma, MI., Erin Siders of Jackson, MI., Denise Weston of Lansing, MI. and Dawn (Rod) Crisman of Maybee, MI.; siblings, Michael Batyik of Carleton, MI. and Marty (Robert) Batyik-Lyons of Aurora, CO.; grandchildren, Stephanie Weston, Amanda Weston, Sierra Siders, Sydney Siders, Rodney Crisman, Michael Crisman, Nicholas Siders, Nichole Siders and Sienna Zeemer; life-long companion Don Trumble of Parma, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 3-8pm Thursday July 5th at the Liedel Chapel-The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes 9061 Raisin St. Maybee, MI., where the Rosary will be recited at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am Friday July 6th at St Joseph Catholic Church Maybee, where she will lie in-state after 10am, Rev Rich Luberti will officiate.
