Mrs. Yvonne "Queen" Elibe

Yvonne “Queen” Elibe went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2011. She was born November 10, 1964 in Mamfe, Cameroon. Yvonne completed her elementary education in Buea, Cameroon and her secondary education in Enugu, Nigeria. In January 1983 Yvonne was married to Ama Elibe and relocated to the States. While in the United States Yvonne received an Associate Degree in Science in 1992, from Monroe Community College. After her graduation she decided to venture into the business running a successful gift shop, from October 1994, as manager and vice president of Elibe & Associates, Inc. d/b/a Treasure Cache in Fairlane Mall, Dearborn, MI and Achara and Associates, d/b/a Jani-King (franchised by the family) until 2005 when the Michigan state economy hit bad times. In 2010 Yvonne made a decision and went back to Monroe Community College in pursuit of a registered nursing degree. She never had the chance to complete her nursing degree before she taken from us so young, but she naturally cared for others all her life. She was loving and caring to all those that she met. Yvonne was a peace loving person, a woman of noble character, influential and a natural leader who dedicated her time and resources to the well-being of her household. She extended her love, warmth, friendship, support, charming smiles and helping hands to everyone that she came in contact with. She was an active member of Old Bende Association and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Trenton, MI, USA. Yvonne is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years Ama, son Elibe, daughter Erinma, her beloved brothers Francis, Diogu, Okorie, Obasi and Uko, her sisters Nene, Comfort and Graclyn, and her mother Agnes.
