Mrs Ruth M. Gaynier

Ruth M. Gaynier, age 96, of Monroe, passed away on Monday September 30, 2013 at Mercy Memorial Hospital Monroe. Ruth was born April 4, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Dr Edward and Harriet (Grassley) Keating. Ruth married Edward Gaynier June 17, 1939 at St John's Catholic Church Monroe; sadly he preceded her in death on February 12, 1979. Ruth is survived by her son James E. (Ann) Gaynier on Monroe; grandchildren, Dr Brad (Camella) Gaynier of Burlington, North Carolina, Beth (Bryan) Schur of Dewitt, Michigan; step grandchildren, Amanda Gibbons of West End, North Carolina, Daniel Gibbons of Palm Harbor, Florida and Scott Gibbons of Troy, Michigan; six great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward, daughter Susan, siblings Patricia Merman, Kathleen Hoffman and Thomas Keating. In keeping with Ruth's wishes cremation will be held, with normal formal services being held. Inurnment will be private and will take place at St Joseph Cemetery Monroe.
