Mrs. Olga V. (Wilson) Wetzel

Olga V. Wetzel, age 97, beloved wife of the late James R. Wetzel, loving mother of James H. (Phyllis) Wetzel, George S. (Sandra) Wetzel, Dewey R. (Helen) Wetzel, Jerry R. (Marianne) Wetzel, Belva Lou McKenzie and Sandra Lee Noah; sister- in- law Treva Wilson; proud grandmother of 26, great grandmother of 42, great great grandmother of 11. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, son Hubert G. Wetzel, daughter Leona Kay Lesage. siblings Harold Wilson and Bernice Bonnette, daughters- in- law June and Nancy, son- in- law Mike. Above all, Olga and her husband Bob loved their family. Although they didn't always have a lot of money to spare, the family always had plenty of love and could count on delicious meals being put on the table. Her dedication was obvious as she rose early in the morning to bake cookies for the children's lunches and fresh buns for their dinner. One of their biggest joys was to count the number of people that filled their basement for the holiday dinners. Olga's hobbies included rock collecting, quilting, flower and vegetable gardens, family campingand letter writing. Olga loved the color Red, Holidays and birthdays would bring in new red clothing, quilts, flowers, blankets, towels and pillows. During her later years, Olga brought life into her home by adopting 2 parakeets.
