Mrs. Mary Lee Neihoff

Mary Lee Neihoff, age 83, of Monroe, MI passed away October 23, 2014 at Henry Ford Hospital Detroit, MI. Mary was born May 9, 1931 in London, KY to George W. and Mary Ann (Sullivan) Brock, she married Charles W. Neihoff on July 26, 1951 in Indiana, sadly he preceded her in death on June 4, 2012. Mary was a volunteer at Beach Nursing Home for many years. Mary was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Nashville, Tenn., where she lived from 2002 to 2012 when she moved to Michigan. Mary was a very gifted quilter; she entered her quits in county fairs and at church functions and won many awards. Mary also was an avid reader and took classes in Chinese cooking; the cooking was always tried out on her children. After her husband retired in 1985 they loved to travel all around the country. Mary is survived by her children, Chuck Neihoff Jr of Toledo, OH, Vivian Scholma, of Spring Hills, FL, Rebecca (Jeff) Christman of Ludington, MI and Pamela Jean (Milton) Nivala of Canton, MI; grandchildren, Rhonda (Andy) Thompson, Ronald (Shelley) Urbanczyk, Matthew Nivala, Andrew (Heather) Christman, Jennifer Jariett and Melissa Neihoff; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Ronald, Aiden and Carly. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, daughter in law Kathleen Neihoff, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
