Mrs Mary A. Ganz

Ganz, Mary of Trenton died November 23, 2011 at the age of 91. She was born January 29, 1920 to Anna (nee Chelini) and Pio Piunti who came to Trenton from near Rome, Italy prior to her birth. After growing up in Trenton and graduating from high school Mary married Gino Ganz with whom she had three sons, all of whom survive: Lawrence (Sandra Kilinski) of Traverse City, Joseph (Carol) of Washoe Valley Nevada, and Gregory (Maureen) of Sterling Heights. Their only daughter, Mary Ann, died in her first year of life. Mary was very proud of her Italian heritage, her community, and her family. She liked to laugh and have fun and enjoyed her activities with the Amici Club, traveling with the Senior Citizens group, and spending time with friends and family. She had a long and full life. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Gino, daughter Mary Ann, brother Sam Piunti, sisters Eva Piunti and Lillian Reichelderfer, and grandson Jeffrey Ganz. Her loving survivors, in addition to her three sons, include grandchildren Julie (Craig) Waple, Jenny Muniz and Joey Muniz, great grandchildren Aria, Gianna, Dreya, and Trenton Waple, great grandchildren Jessica and Ronald Ganz, (children of Jeffrey), and her sister Louise Foley.
