Born October 30, 1947 in Wayne, Michigan, Linda was the daughter of Russell L. & Annie (Kasperek) Yost. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Larry Grabetz November 23, 1979 at St. Charles Catholic Church. A warm smile and twinkle in her eye gravitated people to Linda. She was the life of any gathering and her outgoing personality brought laughter and joy wherever she went. A mother figure to 9 siblings, Linda always made sure they were “kept in line”. She also mothered her rescued canine friends: Gabiette, Beretta and Baby Doll, treating each one as one of her children. Linda and Larry had a good journey over the years and shared much laughter, joy, tears and love. She will be fondly remembered by him and his family. Linda worked at Ford Motor Company’s Monroe Plant for 12 years. During that time she was the Recording Secretary for the Union. Linda bowled and held various offices in the Monroe Women’s Bowling Association. Linda was a Trustee for Berlin Township for 8 years, a member of the VFW Post 4093 Women’s Auxiliary as well as an avid gardener and collector of angels. Linda enjoyed traveling with the “love of her life” Larry. In addition to Larry, her husband of 31 years, Linda is survived by her mother Annie of Flat Rock.; siblings: Dennis (Denice) of Flat Rock, Dawn (Roger) Monday of Carleton, Vicki (Ron) Lymond of Monroe, Denise (Robert) Sizemore of Monroe, Roxann (William) Poole of Carleton, Kim (Gary) Bashaw of Temperance, Scott Yost of Flat Rock and Robin VanDierendonck of Waukesha, WI. She is also survived by her in-laws: Frankie Grabetz of Frenchtown Township, Ron (Monie) Grabetz of East Rockwood, and Jim Schmidt of Newport as well as 17 nieces & nephews and 15 great nieces & nephews. Sadly she was preceded in death by her father, a brother Russell C. Yost, sister-in-law Debbie Schmidt and mother-in-law and father-in-law Frank & Mildred Grabetz. Memorial contributions may be made to The Great Lakes Dialysis Center.
