Mrs Laurine M. Mcgowan

McGowan, Laurine M., age 90 of Monroe, passed away December 31, 2014. Born May 10, 1924 in Detroit, MI to George and Irene (Barker) Longhurst. She married Raymond Fritz on November 6, 1942. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1965. She later wed Charles L. McGowan Aug 20, 1966. Sadly he preceded her in death February 7, 1988. Loving mother of Patti McGowan (Dave) Riddle-Woods, Rosanne (Larry) Stutsman, Raymond (Jan) Fritz, Joseph (Terry) McGowan, Tom McGowan, Bill McGowan, Candy (Art) Hinojosa, and Shaun (Sheila) McGowan. Proud grandmother of 22 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Laurine was also preceded in death by children Ann Marie Fritz, Cornelius McGowan, Laurae Fritz, Mickey McGowan, Timothy Fritz, and grandson Christopher Fritz. She was a passionate animal lover, enjoyed the company of her family, and was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
