Kathlyn M. "Kate" Schantz, age 86 of Southgate formerly of Melvindale, passed away peacefully at home March 29, 2018. Loving wife of the late Francis "Fran". Loving mother of David (Sharon), Dennis (Pauline), Mary (Richard), Bernice (Douglas), Isaac (Norma), Robert (Renae), Barbara (Daniel), Christine, Gerilyn (Don), and the late Anthony. Proud grandmother of 29 and great grandmother of 24. Also survived by siblings Merle (Jane), Robert (Suzanne), Louis (Liz), Carmen (Earl), Jerome (Margaret), and John (Becky).
