Mrs. Helen Tessier

Helen Tessier, Age 91, April 5, 2013, Beloved wife of the late Ray, loving and loved mother of Ray (Darlene), Joyce and Janice (Bob), caring aunt to many nieces and nephews including Claudia (her "third daughter"). Dear grandmother of Raymond (P.J.), Lauren (Ryan), Kyra (Christian) and Stefan (Alecia). Helen found great joy in babies and children, and was proud to be the loving great grandmother of Caitlin, Jack and Rose. She was employed as a secretary with the Lincoln Park school system until she retired in 1987. She was a long-time member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church, where she and Ray were married in 1946. She had resided at Oakwood Common Assisted Living for the past five years, where she enjoyed being an active participant in the many activities offered, with special favorites being playing bingo, bunco and attending music concerts. She was a kind, sweet woman, and loved shopping and buying gifts for all of her loved ones. She always had a kind word for everyone. Due to her kind and loving personality, she was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
