Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Frankhouse

Helen Elizabeth Frankhouse, age 86 of Monroe, died March 8, 2011 at the Martha Berry Medical Center in Mount Clemens. Born April 8, 1924 in Newton Falls, Ohio, Helen was the daughter of Lester & Emma (Phillips) Moyer. She married John F. Frankhouse on May 8, 1944. Sadly he preceded her in death April 18, 1987. Helen lived a very full and active life; not only was she one of the first Telephone Operators in Newport, but she then later worked as a Librarian for the Monroe County Library System in Newport. She Volunteered for Mercy-Memorial Hospice, Social Services, Monroe Senior Center and was a Lifetime Member of Frenchtown Senior Citizens. Helen is survived by her children: John (Dawn) Frankhouse II of Clinton Township, Carol (George) Lear of Flat Rock and Karen (Ray) Coffee of Port Charlotte, Florida. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by a daughter Jolene Frankhouse in 1982.
