Mrs. Elizabeth Mae Pete

Elizabeth Mae Pete of LaSalle, born September 22, 1925 in Dundee, passed away peacefully January 16, 2016 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Earl whom she married September 6, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie. Dear mother of Dennis (Kathleen) and Brenda (Thomas) Rassel. Proud grandmother of Joshua (Melissa), Adam, and Ryan Pete of Monroe. Elizabeth and Nathan Rassel of Dundee. Great grandmother of Gabriel and Henry. And step-great grandmother of Conner and Brendan. Elizabeth is also survived by brothers Leon (Dorothy) Ost, Kenneth (Barbara) Ost, sister LaDonna (John) Duncan, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents August and Margaret Ost, brothers William, Frederick, Duane, Hilary, August Jr., and sisters Alice Short, Dorothy Wilcox, and Esther Ost. Elizabeth prided herself on raising her family, and even took on the extra task of being a foster grandparent at the Monroe County ISD. She cherished every moment that was spent with her loved ones. Whether it was traveling up north to East Tawas, watching Tiger baseball, or doing word search puzzles.
