Mrs Elizabeth Laboe Streicher

Elizabeth Laboe Streicher, age 81, of Ft. Meyers, Florida, formerly of Monroe, Michigan passed away September 24, 2013 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Ft. Meyers, FL. Liz was born October 15, 1931 in Newport, MI to Raymond and Laura (Snodgrass) Laboe.;she married Dr. Robert G. Streicher on June 21, 1952 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Monroe. Dr. Streicher preceded her in death on November 6, 1998. Liz graduated in 1949 from St Mary's Academy in Monroe and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI and Barry College in Miami, FL. She was a wonderful and devoted mother to her four children and ten grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne (Thomas) Schriefer of Wayzata, MN, Katherine (Robert) Arnold of Clarenden Hills, IL, and Julie (David) Streicher-Borde of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren: Kristin (Adam) Houston, Leslie Streicher, George Streicher, Charles Streicher, Rob Schriefer, Ted Schriefer, Betsy Schriefer, James Arnold, Eric Arnold and Matthew Streicher; and her siblings, Norma Kelley, nee Laboe, of Sacramento, CA and James (Joanne) Laboe of Hampden, MA. Liz was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Dr. George M. Streicher, and her brother, Donald Laboe. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on October 12, 2013 at St Mary's Catholic Church Monroe, where family will receive friends after 10 AM. Fr David Burgard will officiate. The inurnment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery, Monroe.
