Dorothy Caroline Parriet, loving, nurturing mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by all of her loving family February 4, 2013 at her home in Monroe. Born February 20, 1919 in Detroit, daughter of Francis J. and Martha McInnis. She married Earl J. Parriet May 17, 1947 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Detroit. Dorothy, a Registered Nurse for almost 50 years started working at Michigan Mutual Hospital, Detroit. This is where she met the love of her life, Earl whom she was married to for 58 years before he died November 15, 2005. After moving to Monroe in 1947 she worked at Mercy-Memorial Hospital and its predecessors, retiring in 1983. The majority of her nursing was in the maternity wards. Dorothy was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Floral City Chapter79 & St. John's Catholic Church. She is survived by 3 daughters: Ruth (Thomas) Ruehs of Dundee, Mary (Gary) Pinchoff and Linda Krueger, both of Monroe; 2 sons: John (Sheila) Parriet, Lawrenceburg, TN and David (Arlene) Parriet, Monroe; 1 brother Vincent "Jerry" J. (Evelyn) McInnis, Clinton Twp; 8 grandchildren: Matthew Ruehs of Dundee, Amy (XavierAllen), Thomas (Nikki) and Jennifer Krueger, Grant Pinchoff (Whitney Miles), Kathryn (Zach) Epaminonda all of Monroe, Steven Parriet of Colorado Springs, CO and Natalie (Nate) Mills of Monroe; 5 great grandchildren, Abigail & Elijah Mills, Elizabeth Allen, Jakob Joshua Krueger and Henrik Pinchoff, 1 step grandson Jordon. Also survived by sisters-in-law: Janis Parriett, Betty Parriet, Emma Clark and Lucy McInnis. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl; her parents; 1 son-in-law Thomas Krueger; step mother Emma McInnis; 2 sisters: Agnes & Geraldine McInnis; 2 brothers Francis & William (Helene) McInnis; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law Marjorie (Evan) Little, Garry Parriet, Loretta Jane Parriet; 2 grandchildren: Steven Ruehs and Richie Pinchoff.
