Mrs. Delphine Mcmullen

McMullen, Delphine. Age 84. October 31, 2012 of Rockwood. Delphine was born July 2, 1928 in Detroit to Joseph and Anna Voris (nee: Przybylo) of Southgate. She attended high school at Holy Redeemer in Detroit and married Herbert John McMullen on October 15, 1949 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rockwood. They celebrated 63 years of marriage 2 weeks ago. She was employed with Kelsey Hayes Wheel Company from 1944-1946, Ford Motor Company from 1946-1949, was a full-time homemaker and was a cook at St. Mary School in Rockwood from 1972 until her retirement in 2004. She is the loving mother of Daniel (Cheri) of Grand Rapids, Cynthia (Kenneth) Hause of Northfield, MN, Joseph (Patricia) of Nashua, NH, Colleen (Thomas) Pawluk of Waterford, Timothy (Deborah) of Laguna Beach, CA, Randall (Amy) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Annette (Steven) Wilt of Trenton, Leslie (Thomas) Filsinger of Jamestown, NY, Gregory (Diana) of Fayetteville, AR and Thomas (Maria) of Sterling Heights. Proud grandmother of 27. Great grandmother of 13. Also survived by 1 brother Arthur (Marie) Voris of Las Vegas, NV, 1 sister Elizabeth (Leo) Lemerand of Trenton as well as other loving family and friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by 1 brother Thomas Voris of Detroit and 1 sister Beverly Murdock of Riverview. She was an area representative for the March of Dimes and was honored by the Jaycees as Rockwood's Outstanding Woman in 1970. She supported the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and was an athletic booster to multiple sports team organizations.
