Mrs. Anne Konkoly Putz

Anne Konkoly Putz was born March 9, 1917 in MacDonaldton, PA to Steven and Anna Konkoly. She was married to her husband Joe for 66 years before he passed in 2003. They had four children Elayne, Shirley, Dorothy, and Joe. Included in her family are Pat, Ray, Llonda, and Roger. She shared her love with 10 grandchildren, their spouses, and 22 great grandchildren. She was the perfect Grandmother. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and enjoyed hearing about all their activities, accomplishments, and whatever they were up to. She would attend all of the activities that she could. She was so proud of all of them. She would often say "I've got good kids". She loved "making memories", and I'm sure everyone has their own special ones. When it was someone's birthday, they would ask her to sing them "Happy Birthday" in Hungarian. When she would go up north to Oscoda, the kids would bury her in the sand, and she got the biggest kick out of that. She would let them do this every year. It was a "memory maker". Another tradition of her's was the Jet Ski ride. And one step further, her motorcycle ride. If anyone ever said to her "you can't do that", she would take on that challenge and prove that person wrong. That started her career as a school bus driver for Trenton schools. Traveling was one of Anne's favorite things to do. It didn't take much for her to pack her bags and go on a trip with the K of C Social Club, travel to Europe, Florida, or wherever she could go. She enjoyed traveling so much, that together with her husband, they joined they Nomads, a traveling club. Her other hobbies were sewing, crochet, cross stitching, or any other craft she felt like doing. She made baby quilts for all of the grandchildren. She would even sew her own gowns when there was a special K of C event. One of the gowns was worn by her granddaughter for her prom. Anne was very active with the Daughters of Isabella and with her husband Joe in the Bishop Foley Knights of Columbus. They had many good times with their friends and family at parties, the Friday night fish fry's, and many other family activities. Anne also loved to bake. Every Easter she made Easter bread, which was a favorite tradition for everyone. The tradition continues with her daughter making the bread for anyone that may desire it. I'm sure that the tradition will be passed onto a couple of Granddaughter's who take after their Grandma when it comes to baking. Anne loved her family. Her goal in life was to have a close and happy family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. She was willing to do anything for you, and help you in anyway that she could. She will be greatly missed by all.
