Mr. William D. Smelter

Smelter, William D. Age 94. November 11, 2012 of Ft. Myers Beach, Fl and formerly of Gibraltar. Beloved husband of 38 years to Mary and also to the late Marion. Loving dad of David R. (Jimmie) Smelter, Linda (Myron) Wanta, Anne Raby (John Vandeberghe), Mark Smelter, Timothy (Cindy) Smelter, Mark (Deborah) Gorham and Michel (Kathleen) Gorham. Proud grandpa of 17. Great grandpa of 22. Preceded in death by his parents William and Emma Schmelter and 1 brother Harold Schmelter. William served our Country in the US Army Air Force during WWII and was a prisoner of war. He was the former owner of Damark Marine Specialties, Inc. and was a life member of the VFW, American Legion and the United States Power Squadrons (Grosse Ile and San Carlos Bay Sail & Power Squadrons).
