After a twelve month fight against cancer, Timothy W. Veenstra's faith was made sight, remaining faithful to His Savior until His last breath. On April 28, 2016, surrounded by loved ones, Tim peacefully went into the arms of Jesus, where he praises God. His body no longer containing a single fragment of cancer! We give thanks to God for the impact Tim made on so many people worldwide through his selfless leadership, adventurous spirit, and engaging humor. His trust in God's sovereign control over all things was unwavering--he continued to say, "blessed be the name of the Lord". As his favorite verse, Proverbs 3:5-6, states, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." While our hearts are aching, our memories of Tim and stories about him will be treasured always. We look forward to celebrating the day we will be reunited with Tim in the presence of God, and with all those who have put their trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Because of Jesus death and resurrection, we can face tomorrow without fear, knowing God holds our lives and future in His hands. Timothy W. Veenstra, age 46 of Dearborn, passed away April 28, 2016.
