Mr. Robert E. Crowther

Crowther, Robert E., born 12/05/45, age 66, May 27, 2012, of Gibraltar. Beloved husband of Linda. Also survived by his brother Donald (Roberta) Crowther; his sister Susan Machnik; his sister-in-law Diane (Terry) Ulch; Uncle 'dad' to Terry (Jackie) Ulch, Vance Ulch, Brad (Melissa) Boehling; Uncle 'grandpa' to Preston, Anthony, Gabriel, Gunner and Abby. Uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews. Special love and remembrance to dad's 4 legged Maltese children "Stan The Man" and "Sadie Poo" and our newest adopted family member Bill Matecki. Contributions in memory of Bob's life may be made to the Michigan Humane Society. Bob graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelors Degree in History and Minor in Psychology. Bob was multi-talented and was self employed most of his life. He began with a catering business, owned a motel in Harrisville and Happy Jack's restaurant, and, with his family, built a homemade putt putt course where the horn mysteriously disappeared from his dad's car to be used as a bell for the course. Linda and Bob's life began as one in 1985, where soon after Bob became an employee of Rose Exterminator as a technician. Bob retired from Rose after a wonderful career in 2007 and began Spyderman Pest Control. Bob thorougly enjoyed being 'Spyderman', and most of the town knew Bob only as Spyderman! He loved Gibraltar and his customers and friends very much. He truly enjoyed all the conversations with his many friends and customers as he did his job. Spyderman continues on with Bob in our heart as the founding father. Furthermore, Bob fancied himself a real estate tycoon managing several rental homes in Gibraltar. Love and thanks to all that have held our hands during this difficult time with a special heartfelt thanks to our neighborhood family group. Bob's famous quote, "What do you do with a history degree??? - you kill bugs."
