Mr. Raymond Edson Laura

Raymond was the son of Arthur & Minnie (Duchene) Laura. He married Joyce Raymond on May 15, 1946 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. An Army Veteran, Raymond worked as a Finish Carpenter with Carpentry By Woodcraft for some 30 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Rockwood Historical Society and the Ford Astronomy Club. In addition to Joyce, his wife of over 64 years, Raymond is survived by his children: Dennis (Sharon) Laura of Trenton, David (Christine) Laura of Rockwood, Dale (Sharon) Laura of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Dawn (Dave) Taylor of Rockwood and a daughter-in-law Carrie Laura of Brownstown. He is also survived by a brother Henry Laura of South Rockwood; two sisters: Arlys (Nicholas) Clegg of Rockwood, June Jabe of Monroe; fifteen grandchildren: Dean Massalsky, Christopher Laura, Kurt Cooper, Jessica Laura, Jamie Laura, Rachel Cady, Victoria Bennett, Dannielle Bills, Dana Reeves, Sean Laura, Jennifer Laura, Brooke Thompson, Raechal Nutter, Natalie Laura, and Isabella Laura; as well as twelve great grandchildren: Presley Laura, Katie Cooper, Karlie Cooper, Arianna Cady, Dexter Bennett, Whitney Laura, Alexander Cady, Dean Massalsky Jr., Jack Massalsky, Jeremy Laura, Paige Matheson and Drew Bills. Sadly Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, a son Dean Laura, three brothers: Don Laura, Miles Laura, Emerson Laura and a sister Orpha Burdick.
